Barbiemania is a makeover game in the dress-up category based on Mattel's Barbie line of dolls and merchandise. The player helps a Barbiesque young woman create her ultimate 1980's Barbie casual or night out, business and party fashion looks.
The player selects the first of three selfies to access the fashion screen and several categories of items to change her appearance. Options include clothes, hairstyles, eye colors, eyelid colors, lipsticks, jewelry pieces and eyewear. The player must select items both to make her look her best and fill a vertical gauge on the left side of the screen. They can only move onto the next look after they've filled the bar enough that a heart reaches the top of the bar.
When the player completes each look, Barbiemania gives them access to a download option. The player can save all three looks together or each one separately to share with their friends or use as a source of inspiration when crafting their own real-world Barbie style.
How to play:
Select the first picture. Select different category buttons to see all the available options. Select items from some or all of the categories, as desired. Alternatively, select items that perfectly match the picture on the main screen. Repeat this process to create two additional looks. When finished, select the camera. Review the downloadable images. Use the down-pointing arrow icon to save one or more images to a phone, computer or storage device. Return to the main screen to explore additional looks!
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons, icons, categories and items. To apply makeup, click the desired makeup category and item, and then click and slide the mouse.
Mobile: Tap buttons, icons, categories and items. To apply makeup, click the category and item, and then press and slide the finger or stylus.
