Balls GrandGames is a vibrant three-dimensional sorting game in the laboratory flask and test tube subcategory. It stands out from other games in this genre by offering three different sorting tasks and numerous customization options.
The player selects Classic, Hidden Balls or Colored Tubes as the mode of play. With Classic, they rearrange one or more mixed-color balls in test tubes until all the balls are stacked by color in separate flasks. With Hidden Balls, the game hides the colors of some balls. This level is more difficult because the player has no way of planning far ahead until they perform sorting actions. In Colored Tubes, the player must sort all balls into color-matched flasks.
Before the player selects a mode, they can customize the number of test tubes, different colored balls and extra empty tubes, and the height of each one. If they select too many tubes and colors or make the flasks too high, the game tediously forces them to scroll up and down the screen to transfer the balls. Even if they use the auto-transfer option, it only moves one ball at a time.
That said, Balls GrandGames is an excellent way to have fun and relax. It also provides two guides. The player can custom-set an onscreen guide that displays on each ball the number of color-matched balls in each test tube. They can also display green arrow hints that direct them to flasks that accept specific colors. Lastly, they can undo as many moves as desired and reload the entire game without penalty.
