Atomic Merge 2048 is a merge game with a science theme. The player drops and merges numbered particle balls inside of an atom to create higher-numbered ones. Their primary goal is to create a 2048 nucleus. They then attempt to make higher-numbered nuclei and earn the highest score possible.
The game offers several unique elements. The player can drop a particle inside or outside of the atom, but a drop too far from the central nucleus can end the game. They must then continue with half their score or start over from scratch.
The player uses a preview in the upper-right area to plan out their actions. When non-matching particles collide inside the red ring that represents the edge of the atom, the balls pile up. During a merge, the subsequent force causes the remaining ones to swing back and forth.
One strategy the player might use is to complete merges by timing their drops based on the upswing. They might also perform drops that roll particles around other ones into merge positions.
If the player isn't careful, all particles eventually clump in the lower area of the atom. When this pileup extends past the red ring, they lose the game.
Atomic Merge 2048 offers two boosters. If the player views an ad video, they can drop TNT inside the atom and blast away most of the particle balls. They can also use a shake tool in the lower-right corner up to 10 times to shake the nucleus. This action creates a force that sometimes causes particles to roll into new positions.
