Arkadium Spider Solitaire is a unique online version of classic Spider Solitaire play. The game challenges the player to use layered, mixed, standard playing cards presented in face-up and face-down positions in 10 columns to create the legs of a spider as eight face-up, descending-order columns from King to Ace (K, Q, J... 3, 2, A).
The game starts by offering the player 1-suit (easy), 2-suit (moderate) and 4-suit (hard) card-presentation options. It then deals the cards automatically on the green table in the 10 columns. The player builds the spider-leg columns by moving cards around until they've positioned every card in the right order. If they want to move a partial build under higher cards, such as J through A under a Q, they can confirm that they've completed at least part of a column by selecting the build to see if it turns blue.
Arkadium Spider Solitaire supplies a draw pile to fill in gaps when the player needs a card to complete a partial or total build. That said, any use of the pile results in the game adding a card to every column, which then adds to the work of rearranging the cards. Yet, the game also offers a hint tool to highlight a potential move with yellow along the borders of the card or cards.
