Arkadium Jigsaw is a tiling-puzzle game that offers a player the ability to work on a jigsaw puzzle without the need to invest in an offline physical one or a quiet, spacious work area. The game also offers the player the option to pick an Easy, Normal or Expert difficulty level.
Once the player selects a mode, they're presented with the puzzle image broken into virtual pieces on a tan, wooden tabletop. Below the pieces is a down-pointing arrow and an open tray they can use to store pieces to make arranging them on the tabletop easier. Initially, all pieces of the puzzle appear jumbled on the surface. The player organizes the pieces (Tidy Up, Edges Only or Group) with an organization icon shaped like a grid at the top of the screen. They can see a reminder of the original picture with a nearby eye-shaped icon.
Arkadium Jigsaw requires timed play, which means that the player receives a better score if they solve the puzzle faster. The game helps them by also providing a horizontal magnifier tool at the top center of the screen. It's important to note, if the player quits at any time, they lose the ability to work on a specific picture. The game resets the image automatically during any reload of the page.
