Amazing Sticky Hex is a brain-teaser, puzzle game with a hexagon theme. A player must position shapes known as indicators, which feature star-like centers and lines sticking out in different directions, into empty cells distributed in a pattern on a game board. When the player positions an indicator of a particular color, the empty spaces that it points to on the board fill with matching gemstones.
The game features 302 increasingly difficult levels with different patterns per level. The player can position the indicator, sometimes known as a "hexa block," into any cell as long as the cell doesn't already have a gemstone in it. If they can't complete the pattern, they can ask for a hint. The hint shows up as a swirling hexagon that shows where the player should place a specific indicator by color. When the player wins a level, they receive up to three stars that they can use at any time to buy additional hints.
Although Amazing Sticky Hex doesn't have a timer and allows the player to rearrange indicators freely on the board, the player loses stars during gameplay if they perform too many moves. They should attempt to win each level in as few moves as possible. Thankfully, they can replay past levels to earn more stars.
