Alien Chase: Swing and Fly is a rush-style platform skill game. An alien invasion occurs in a city while a man is enjoying his holiday swimming in a pool in a rubber duck floatie and scuba mask. He needs the player's help to escape the different types of aliens and reach safety as quickly as possible.
The player swings the man with ropes on hooks around poles positioned at varying intervals along a path through the city. If the man swings too low and hits the ground, they fail and must try again. The player also attempts to keep him from hitting aliens or spaceship beams, which can result in him swinging in the wrong direction or the aliens abducting him.
The game allows the player to give the man various new skills via upgrades. After they earn enough dollar-sign-embossed gold coins, they can purchase extra time, an increased percentage coin generator, and additional seconds for each collected clock. After the player unlocks new clothing and items, they can also change the man's headwear, arm floats and floatie at any time by using the button marked with white shorts.
Alien Chase: Swing and Fly offers floating coins throughout the run that the player collects by directing the man to swing through the pieces. The player also attempts to claim as many purple gemstones as possible by completing specific achievements.
