2248 Merge Puzzle is a 2048-style merge game with a connect element. The player merges matching-numbered colored blocks on a board to create higher-numbered ones. They earn coins to pay for boosters and points to achieve leaderboard status.
Instead of dropping or shooting blocks, the player creates connect lines between blocks. As a result, this game is most similar to connect tile-matching games. Unlike some games, the player can connect and merge more than two matching round-cornered blocks at a time. For example, they can connect and merge three number 4 blocks to create a number 16 block instead of an 8 one. The game allows them to merge side-by-side, stacked and diagonal blocks in any direction.
2248 Merge Puzzle's booster play offers a swap booster and a hammer booster. With the former, the player can swap the positions of any two blocks on the board. With the latter, they can permanently remove any block to make room for better connect and merge opportunities.
The player earns coins by viewing ads. They earn points by completing merges. They earn combo points when they merge more than two blocks at a time.
