2048 Match Balls is a casual Suika-style 2048 matching game. The player attempts to evolve numbered balls into ever-higher-numbered ones by dropping and merging matching ones inside of a container.
The game doesn't supply the player with an evolution panel that shows all the match possibilities. That said, it does provide a preview of the next available ball in the upper-right area. The player also attempts to earn a high score, which the game displays in the upper-center area.
The player drops balls into the container one by one. The game makes the balls act in some ways like normal ones. Balls roll into the container sidewalls and other balls. The player can use this near-realistic physics to use a dropped ball as a force that pushed two matching, far-apart balls already in the container together. Additionally, the force of a merge can provide a slight boost that makes a new ball push other balls together.
2048 Match Balls also supplies the player with a powerup in the upper-left area that looks like a bomb with a targeting crosshairs icon. If the balls stack so high in the container that the pieces reach a dashed horizontal line, the game ends. If the player is willing to view an ad, they can use this tool, which turns into a hammer, to clear some space.
The game doesn't end when the player reaches 2048. They can continue playing to try to create more higher-numbered balls, such as 4096 and 8192, and the highest score possible.
