2048 Cubes is a hypercasual merge game that combines 2048 and Suika elements. The player slides, drops and merges two-dimensional representations of numbered cubes into a container to create higher-numbered cubes. They must perform enough merges to evolve the blocks into a 2048 block and then continue the merges to create ever higher-numbered blocks and earn an amazing score.
The player can only merge two blocks that have the same color and number. For example, if they merge two yellow 2 blocks, they create a single green 4 block. If they stack unmatched blocks too high in the container and past a horizontal dashed line, they lose the game and must start over.
2048 Cubes displays the player's score in white in the top-center area above the container. It helps the player make each cube drop more precise by providing a column of light as a targeting line.
That said, a cube can bounce easily off even the tiniest part of another cube. During a merge, the force from the evolution can also cause the new cube to bounce into the air and then roll into an unwanted position. The player can use in-game physics to help them make better merges. For example, they can drop a cube slightly against the left or right side of another cube to make the second cube slide into a matching cube.
