2048 Cube Merge is a merge game that combines 2048 with bowling and merge mechanics. On a long alley-style play board, the player directs colored numbered cubes from one end of the lane toward cubes at the other end to merge matching pairs. With each merge, they earn points. They also eventually claim coin winnings that they can use in the game's shop to change the color of the board walls and the background.
To make a projectile cube propel forward down the lane and merge with its match, the player slides it left or right or double-selects it. For example, when a yellow 2 cube hits another 2 cube, it create a dark blue 4 cube. The force of a merge makes the newly evolved cube bounce around and sometimes automatically merge with a nearby match.
The player can also merge cubes already on the lane by directing a projectile cube to hit a non-matching cube and push it into its match. When they unlock a higher-numbered cube, such as a 32 or 64 cube, they receive coin and booster rewards. They can double the coins by viewing an advertising video.
2048 Cube Merge provides three boosters in the bottom center area of the screen that include a rainbow cube that matches any cube and a black bomb cube that destroys any targeted cube. The game also offers play upgrades. For example, once the player has enough coins, they can upgrade the rainbow cube occurrence, starting block numbers and the bomb radius. They can even purchase access to a preview bar that displays the next available projectiles.
